SOP Management Mobile App
Most organisations still rely on Word or Excel to create and manage their standard operating procedures. It sounds simple enough, but in practice it creates real headaches — layouts are inconsistent, staff need significant training just to meet formatting standards, version control is managed manually, and getting approvals means chasing people across shifts and email chains. Worst of all, the people with the deepest knowledge of the job — the ones who should be writing the SOPs — often aren't, because the complexity of the software shuts them out. For businesses in manufacturing, healthcare, or logistics, where SOPs are critical for compliance and safety, these inefficiencies add up fast.
I built a user-friendly cross-platform mobile app that lets teams create SOPs directly at the point of use — on the factory floor, in the warehouse, wherever the work actually happens. The app includes AI-assisted drafting to help users produce high-quality procedures quickly, a structured approval workflow so reviews don't get lost, automatic version control to track every change, and one-tap PDF export in a clean, standardised layout. Administrators can manage users, departments, and organisational settings, while role-based access keeps everything secure across teams.
User acceptance testing scored the app 38 out of 40 for ease of creating SOPs. One user described the AI feature as "phenomenal." The app removes the formatting struggles, eliminates the manual version tracking, and turns a process that used to require significant training into something anyone can pick up and use — putting SOP creation back in the hands of the people who know the job best.
